Karim Benzema has joined in the calls for Real Madrid to win the Champions League this term as he believes that the club have enough talent within their ranks to lift the trophy.

The French striker joined Los Merengues in the summer and knows that this season is a special one in Europe because the Champions League final will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Having spent €250 million since the end of last term Madrid are now deemed to be one of the favourites for the competition and Benzema sees no reason why they cannot win it.

“I know we can win. Football is full of surprises, but we want this title,” he was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.

“The trophy means a lot to us. It will be tough, but we have a great team.

“We have everything a team needs to win the title. We will do our best to win because this is a very prestigious and important title for this great club.”
