Nigeria looks to disrupt Maradona’s World Cup Run
Nigeria has not been in great form and they seem to have more internal problems than the other 31 teams in the world cup but they offer the skill to take the game to Argentina.
Nigeria and Argentina seem to always run into each other in the World and every time Argentina has managed to win the games but never in convincing fashion.
Argentina’s laborious path to the World Cup was anything but acceptable to the Albiceleste’s demanding supporters, and with kooky coach Diego Maradona causing off-field distractions, questions linger about this powerful squad.
The Argentine team no doubt is still the best team in this group having Messi arguably the best player on the planet, but with all their troubles the June 12 Argentina vs. Nigeria game in Johannesburg will set the tone for this group. Look for Nigeria to win that game.
Conversely, Greece will rely on its defensive characteristics to cause havoc. The mystery is South Korea, a World Cup regular that has enjoyed success only in 2002, when it made the semifinals as co-host with Japan.
