It’s been an exciting five months of competition to find the Hottest Cheerleader of the NBA for the 2009 – 2010 season.

For a while Odaymis (Miami Heat) looked liked the runaway favorite to win and Ashley Bond (Chicago Bulls) was a very close second. But, just like the NBA season a couple of candidates surged – Teresa (Phoenix Suns), Annie (Philadelphia 76ERs) and Jessica Marie (San Antonio Spurs) made an improbable run that lead to some really heated conversations between fans of the 76ERs and the Spurs and I know also lead to lots of friends been made.

So from all of us here at the A-List, we like to thank everyone who contributed by voting, marketing and suggested candidates for the contest.

The A-List NBA Hottest Cheerleaders 2009-2010 has turned into a dog fight (no pun intended) between Jessica Marie Sanchez (Spurs) and Annie Lynn (76ers), with just 11 days to go in this contest the Spurs fans has voted Jessica into a narrow lead with 6,528 votes over Annie who currently has 6,371 votes.

For the best part of this contest the Miami Heat fans has done their best to keep their girl Odaymis Romero at the top of the table but that has changed as the Heat dancer has only been able to muster just 2,078 vote which accounts for just 10% of the total votes.

Votes will be closed on April 14, 2010 and it looks like is going to be a two way fight to the finish, so from all of us at the A-List we wish Jessica, Annie and all the other girls all the best.

The NBA season is fast coming to an end and so is the A-List NBA Hottest Cheerleaders 2009-2010 contest, in our last update The Battle Rages On – A-List NBA Hottest Cheerleaders 2009-2010, Odaymis Romero (Heat) looked to have left the competition in the dust, Alicia Erin and Ashley Bond were trailing in 2^nd and 3^rd place.

In the past month the fans of the 76ers and Spurs has made the race exciting and as at the time of writing this article – Annie (76ers) and Jessica Marie Sanchez (Spurs) are in the lead with 24% and 20% of the votes respectively.

Thanks to AroDrive user Sixers Fan 7676 we found out that Melanie Fitzpatrick is no longer a member of the Sixers Dance Team. So she’s been removed from the A-List NBA Hottest Cheerleaders 2009-2010 as every contestant must be a member on the 2009-2010 NBA Dance team.

Sixers Fan 7676 also suggested a replacement in Annie, and after several rounds of voting at the A-List content meeting, it was a 2 way race between Erica (Click on this link to see Erica ) and Annie.

NFL Cheerleaders week 14 Review – A-List Edition is a post from: AroDrive

On Saturday UFC 107 really, really disappointed me. I went to the Live event for one reason and one reason only. The UFC Octagon Girls.

The Octagon Girls were there, but, where was Arianny Celeste? She was no where to be found at UFC 107?
Been seeing her on TV and finally got a chance to see her live and she was no where to be found!

But, it was interesting that the longest tenured ring girl wasn’t at the event. Does this remind any one of how Edith Labelle (Remember to vote for Edith Labelle for A-List Person of Year. Click here to vote) disappeared?

We’ll keep you posted. Hopefully Arianny Celeste has not been fired.

The contest for the A-List NBA Hottest Cheerleader ranges on and so far the AroDrive users have continue to vote for their favorites cheerleaders.

In our mock rankings we picked Odaymis of the Miami Heat Dancers as the Hottest NBA cheerleader it was almost a unanimous decision and so far the votes cast kinda agrees.

Odaymis leads the way as at today with 34% of the votes and is facing very stiff competition from the Washington Wizard Dancer Alicia Erin.

Alicia Erin in our mock rankings is at #8 and as at today has 28% of the votes. The fans of Alicia Erin and Odaymis have been very active and have giving each girl the lead at one time or the other during the week.

This race is far from over, it seemed earlier on that it would be a 2 way race to the finish, but the Chicago Bulls Luvabulls Ashley Bond who is actually a real life beauty queen (Miss Illinois USA 2009) has mounted a heavy comeback as she got 50% of all votes cast yesterday placing her 3^rd as at today. Rounding up the top five are Minnie (Grizzlies) and Erica (Thunder).

Leslie Hill Alison of the A Town dancers is the biggest gainer so far. In our mock rankings she is at #20 and as at today is ranked #6 that’s a jump of 14 places. And I must confess, she’s really hot!.

Since leaving the UFC Ali Sonoma has done really well from national modeling contracts to reality tv shows on ABC. What can I say, being geogeous and carrying the those octagon numbers around the octagon can get you places (Just ask Edith Labelle) . So, on to a new gig, completely jacked, Ali Sonoma recently shot a photo shoot along with Arianny Celeste for Muscle Pharm.  Both girls looked amazing for the shoot and best of all, are wearing very little. She is, however, a longtime UFC fan and self-described “dork” who likes to scarf chocolate and play with beads. Question: So first things first — Is Logan Stanton your real name?
LOGAN STANTON: Yeah. My sister named me. My parents thought I was going to be boy, and they just liked the name so well that they kept it for me. But I like it — it goes with my personality because I’m not a girly-girl, I’m kind of a tomboy.

How long have you been modeling?
My mom was pushing me to do this since I was about nine, but I’d never had any real interest until I turned 18. I decided I needed to get out of Niceville and do my own thing for a bit, so I came to Miami and was picked up by an agency. I’ve been down here modeling full-time since last January, going back and forth between Miami and L.A.

UFC fans have been buzzing about you ever since you made your Octagon Girl debut last month. How did you wind up getting hired by the UFC?
It was probably the most random thing that’s ever happened to me. The agency called me last month and told me to come by the office, and they were like “Have you ever heard of something called the UFC?” I said, “Are you kidding me, of course I’ve heard of it, I’ve been watching it forever.” I didn’t understand why, but the UFC wanted to meet with me, so they flew me out to Vegas, and I met with [UFC VP] Craig [Borsari] and Dana [White]. I told them, “honestly, I don’t know why I’m here — I don’t have big boobs, I’m not blonde,” and they said that’s not what they were looking for at all.

Then they explained to me what an Octagon Girl does. I’ve always watched the shows, and I’ve been dying to go to one ever since I started following it. It just sounded like a very cool opportunity. They said there was a fight [later that month], and if I was ready to go I could do that one. I needed a few days to let it sink in, so I went home for Christmas, and my friends and family got me all hyped up about it.

Is this going to be an ongoing gig, or did you only sign up for a certain amount of appearances?
Hopefully ongoing. I haven’t signed anything yet, so it’s hard to say. But I guess until I trip or something I’m here to stay. [laughs]

You were in front of an audience of over 14,000 people at UFC 92, with over a million more people watching at home. How did you deal with the nerves?

I’ve never been good at getting up in front of people. When I had to give presentations at school, I was always terrified — you know, when your heart starts beating really fast and you can’t get any words out? So I was freaking out for a couple weeks leading up to the event. Then Leslie took me into the arena and I saw everything, and it wasn’t as big and scary as I thought it would be, and I somehow got over my nerves. I wasn’t nervous at all — I just had a blast with it. I was really comfortable.

Obviously, we never get to see what the Octagon Girls are doing during the fights. What do you do when you’re not holding a card? Did you and Arianny just talk the whole time, or do you just kind of sit there doing nothing?
Well, me and Arianny have our seats on the side of the ring, and we talked to fans for a bit, and stopped by to see people that Arianny knew in the audience. But a lot of the time I was texting my parents and my boyfriend, and taking pictures on my phone — I know that sounds cheesy but I was really excited to see all the fighters. Other than that, we just hung out and watched the fights.

Did Arianny give you any good advice about how to handle yourself as a ring girl?
She just said to be yourself, and not take anything that people say too seriously. That’s about it. I got more advice from Leslie, who walked me through everything before the event started, and told me how to hold the cards and who to watch out for — the photographers, cameramen, stepping over wires. There’s a lot of people on the side of the ring that you never see.

Are the fans respectful for the most part, or did you hear any crude comments from the guys there?
They were respectful. I mean, there were a lot of cheers and people would shout out things every now and then. One guy yelled “take it off!” at one point, and I got thrown off by that, but I wasn’t offended or anything. Everyone was really nice, and after the fights I got so many e-mails supporting me and congratulating me. So, I haven’t heard anything yet that breaks my heart.

What did you do after the event was over? Were there afterparties to go to, or did you just go back to your hotel?
There were afterparties — Arianny had hers, and a few of the fighters had theirs — but I went back to my hotel room. I had to be up at 3 o’clock to catch my flight the next morning, so I got like two-and-a-half, three hours of sleep. I like to go out, but I know my limitations. And I’m only 20! [laughs] So I stayed in instead of dealing with all of that. Kind of dorky.

Speaking of which, your page on UFC.com says you’re “a big dork and always have craft projects going on.” What was the last thing you made?
I made a bracelet the other day. I’ve been into the whole jewelry-making thing lately. I have a lot of friends who make jewelry and are very creative, so I was inspired to try it myself. I went to this bead store nearby, bought a bunch of beads and sat here for like three or four hours in my apartment working away at it while everyone else was at the beach. But I like to have alone time, and I like to have days to myself where I can do dorky things like that. Anything that can keep me entertained.

Also, under favorite foods, it says “Chocolate!”, with an exclamation mark and everything. How deep does your obsession go?
It’s actually ridiculous. I eat it as soon as I wake up in the morning. I probably have a cup of hot chocolate every night. I have chocolate ice cream in my fridge right now. My favorite thing is chocolate-covered peanuts. I actually eat around the peanut, and just eat the chocolate.

What has surprised you the most about being a Silver Dancer? I knew that becoming a Silver Dancer as a hard process, but it’s a year round hard process. We work very hard on and off the court. Each one of these ladies are very special, we are dedicated and fully committed to Spurs. We take pride in every Spurs event that we do. Our hard work pays off because it is worth every minute. I still find myself getting butterfly’s in my stomach when I put on any uniform or step on that court.

One thing you’d really like people to know about you: I am an over achiever. I tend to take on more than I can handle, but I’ve noticed it makes me who I am. A hard worker.

Favorite brand of jeans and why? Seven’s or True Religions

Favorite designer and why? Coach: Coach Purses always have a variety of colors and designs that can match with every outfit, season or special occasion. The quality is absolutely great! Juicy Couture: Being a Dance Director I have to wear dance clothes just about everyday. It’s comfortable to dance in and wear in the classroom.

What do you wear for a night out on the town? I am a “dress” girl. I love to wear dresses from Bebe or Arden B….pretty much anything cute and sassy. A pair of stilettos and matching accessories is also always a plus for me. I also love wearing fashionable hats with a cute side ponytail.
